FCCLA stands for Family, Career and Community Leaders of America. The main purpose of FCCLA is to inspire leaders and create new leaders. FCCLA is a great way to meet new people and learn while doing so.
FCCLA has had a busy year so far and more to come. Taya and Ms. Knox attended the National FCCLA Conference in Nashville TN since Taya is a state officer. The FCCLA chapter has done a lot so far this year. They sold boo grams which is a candy bar they can give to friends, sold Christmas cookies, and an ugly sweater contest. And the chapter also held a clean up day last April around the school.
The Chapter also went to regions Pierre in December. The FCCLA Chapter had thirty members take place at regions. Also, Taya was the region president for FCCLA, and she gave her presidency away to another member. A few members of the Miller FCCLA Chapter qualified for the STAR event (Students Taking Action with Recognition). Also 12 members will be attending the State Meeting April 9th.
